Myeongdong Cathedral is the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul, located in Myeongdong, the birthplace of the Korean Catholic Church, and is a symbolic landmark of Catholicism in Korea.

It was designed by French priest Father Eugene Joan George Coste, completed in 1898, and built with the volunteer efforts of nearly 1,000 parishioners.
